Cloud Support Associate Job Description

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Cloud Support Associate to join its team, providing technical support to customers and helping them get the most out of AWS services.

About the Role

  • Learn and use ground-breaking technologies to provide unique solutions to customers.
  • Interact with leading engineers around the world to resolve complex customer issues.
  • Partner with AWS teams to improve support-related processes and customer experience.
  • Write tutorials, how-to videos, and other technical articles for the developer community.
  • Work on critical, highly complex customer problems that may span multiple AWS services.

A Day in the Life

  • Solve customer cases through customer contact channels (e.g., telephone, email, and web/live chat).
  • Develop and train on complex issues or contact deflection initiatives.
  • Participate in new hiring, write tools/script to help the team, or work with leadership on process improvement and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in your final year, to receive a Bachelor's / Master's / PhD in Tech OR have graduated within 12 months of application date.
  • Basic knowledge of at least one functional scripting language (e.g., Perl, Python, Ruby, shell scripting).
  • Basic knowledge of Networking and Databases.
  • Basic knowledge of Operation Systems Windows and/or Linux.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of internet fundamentals and cloud computing concepts.
  • Familiarity with Database, Storage, & Big Data concepts.
  • Knowledge of Networking fundamentals like CIDR notations, OSI model, DNS, HTTP, TCP/UDP, DHCP, routing, switching, subnets, NAT.
  • Comfortable working in a Linux/Unix environment.
  • Customer facing work experience.
