Job Description

Job Summary: As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for engineering activities on a specific construction project. Activities will vary and be agreed with the Project Manager. Co-ordinate technical design with onsite installation through to successful commissioning.

Responsibilities:


  • Complete electrical design review to identify design gaps and deviations in specifications.

  • Validate cable sizing and make recommendations.

  • Ensure technical assessments are completed and technical issues are resolved without delay.

  • Compile and issue electrical technical submittals.

  • Manage submittals through the approvals process and track procurement and delivery of electrical equipment.

  • Attend and record supply chain meetings to ensure progress is monitored and maintained.

  • Review electrical installation with BIM team to ensure design is constructible.

  • Liaise with design team and supply chain to ensure correct operation of the plant on site.

  • Complete electrical system walk-downs to ensure systems are compliant with specifications.

  • Compile test packs and present for approval.

  • Manage specialist vendors during commissioning process.

  • Undertake client training in line with agreed training plan.



Necessary Requirements:

  • 3rd level Qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.

  • Experience with both LV and MV systems in building services and data centre environments.

  • Commercial Awareness.

  • Capability of walking down electrical systems to ensure compliance with specification.

  • Developing technical submittals and completing technical reviews and assessments.

  • Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental systems and procedures.

  • Ability to multi-task and manage many priorities.

  • Excellent communicator and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent record keeper and administration skills.

  • Innovates and leads in electrical/technical activity and challenges.

  • Promotes process driven and focused on EHS and Quality Work Management Systems and Processes.
