Job Description

Graduate Engineer Location: Ringaskiddy Permanent Overview of the role: Veolia are seeking to recruit Engineering Graduates from a Mechanical/ Process background to join our team in Cork. As part of our engineering team you will be responsible for the Engineering activities on a specific project or multiple projects you will support the facility Management team through the process onsite. Role/Requirements Site based positions - valid Safe pass / Manual handling certificates required for successful applicants Relevant third level Engineering qualification essential 0-1 years' experience post qualification desirable Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-functional team essential Excellent IT Skills essential Excellent communication and organisation skills essential Knowledge in energy auditing, energy consumption forecasting and energy modelling through life cycle and capital cost/ benefits analysis. Theoretical knowledge of industrial energy systems (Steam, Electrical Generation & Distribution, Renewables Energy Systems, Compressed Air, Refrigeration, Nitrogen Generation. Engineers will be expected, with guidance, to: Support with the completion of PM's and CM's on time and within budget. Writing engineering reports, method statements and maintenance schedules. Ensure the provision of Health & Safety documentation and safe work practices onsite during all Veolia installation. Timeline planning of all small installations from awarding of contract to completion and handover of all documentation. Coordinate site labour for projects. Assist with the design review to identify design gaps and deviations or contractions in specifications. Ensure that technical assessments are completed as required and technical issues are resolved without delay. Support the compilation and issuing of technical documents. Manage submittals through the approvals process, track procurement and delivery of equipment and complete the receipt verification process once equipment is delivered. Liaise with the maintenance team & supply chain to ensure PM's and Cm's are compliant with specifications and drawings. Review and answer technical queries from site in relation to specifications/drawings/materials and equipment. Key Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to: Support the Site Maintenance Technical Team in the identification, analysis, design, costing, and implementation of Preventative Maintenance works. Performing data collection activities to inform in-depth investment grade audits. Support the plant Engineers in the completion of site survey during the planning phase of utilities project or performance contracts. Reviewing and analysing performance specifications for equipment from suppliers and contractors. Support the team in tender evaluations. Support the maintenance team with development of schedules and budgets Support existing and new Veolia sites with the development of monitoring and targeting systems and key performance indicators (KPI's) that will assist the delivery and maintenance of long-term energy reductions Ensuring that periodic reviews of SOPs, Work Instructions and Risk Assessments are performed within their due dates, and liaising with document owners within Production, Warehouse and Environmental Operations to manage this activity. Participating in the management and closure of TrackWise records within the department through active involvement in Non-Conformance investigations and identification of appropriate corrective and preventative actions. Following up with internal and external colleagues to ensure the timely completion of impact assessments, investigations and CAPA's raised by the Manufacturing Department. Actively identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for waste elimination and implementing changes where possible. Skills and Experience Required: Third-level degree in a relevant discipline highly advantageous. Recently or expected to graduate from the above relevant course Positive, 'can-do' attitude with ability to communicate across various levels. Ability to identify improvements and generate new ideas, with an ability to embrace change. Interpersonal Skills Analytical Technical Engineering Pharmaceutical sector experience desirable. To be successful in this role you will also have: A desire to learn and understanding of markets, policies and support mechanisms.
