Wood plc, Ireland is seeking graduate engineers for its Galway Engineering office, offering a wide range of consultancy services to international clients.

We support clients across various sectors, including subsea engineering, operations support, drilling and wells design and analysis, data analytics, and marine terminal and export system planning and design.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing engineering support and consultancy to a global client base in the Energy sector
  • Working within multi-disciplined teams on Energy projects to support planning and execution
  • Supporting design and analysis activities for structures and equipment used in marine and subsea operating environments
  • Preparing engineering technical reports, specifications, and drawings
  • Providing technical support for proposal and tender package preparation
  • Managing engineering databases using best available technologies
  • Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and implementing their adoption

Requirements:

  • Strong inter-personal, presentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical and engineering expertise
  • Technical report writing and MS Excel skills
  • Communication skills and teamworking
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of physics and mathematics in engineering applications
  • Familiarity with engineering software analysis and modelling tools
  • An interest in coding/programming and data management
