Graduate Packaging Technologist Co Westmeath Fulltime/Permanent Monday - Friday Days, Early Friday Finish Hybrid Working Available Attractive Package Vickerstock are excited to be working in partnership with a leading global provider within the FMCG industry who have been successfully running for over 60 years. Due to their continued success, we are seeking a Graduate Packaging Technologist to join the team at the state-of-the-art facility based in Co Longford. This is an exciting opportunity for graduates or early-career professionals eager to advance with a leading company. You will receive comprehensive on-the-job training and promising future career prospects. Working within the R&D Department as a Packaging Technologist you will provide expertise and guidance on all packaging topics within the business. You will support the development of new packaging solutions from concept to launch, keeping up with the latest developments and following market trends to identify customer and consumer needs. Key duties (further duties on full description) Provide an effective and efficient packaging development service as part of the group R&D team Drive packaging projects to ensure that all technical aspects are satisfied Complete and report on appropriate testing of components to ensure packaging is safe, legal, and fit for purpose. Ensure that all associated specifications, reports, and records are completed Attend trials and first production runs Identify and implement opportunities for improvements. You must be degree educated in a relevant field (Food Technology, Food Science, Packaging Technology) with a strong aptitude for learning and willing to develop. Work will involve all packaging types with travel to sites in Ireland, Europe and UK. Working hours will be Monday - Thursday 9am to 5.30pm with a 4.30pm finish on Fridays.
