Job Description

Experienced Graduate Quantity Surveyor sought for a leading Construction Company in Dublin, working on large, prestigious projects for blue chip clients.

Oradeo Recruitment is seeking a skilled Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join a top European Construction Company with significant annual turnover. The successful candidate will be involved in a number of large, prestigious projects for well-known clients within the Data Centre, Industrial and Pharmaceutical sectors.

The company, originating from Ireland, has grown into an internationally diversified construction company working on prestigious projects for blue chip clients within key sectors including Advanced Technology Facilities, Life Science & Chemicals, High Tech Infrastructure and Cleanroom Technologies & Controlled Environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review contracts and ensure compliance.
  • Manage and forecast cash flow of projects and the business.
  • Review and commercial manage projects to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
  • Identify, analyse and report on trends within the business & projects.
  • Provide data and analysis of issues & risks as required by management.
  • Improve and implement best practice commercial processes and accurate budgeting.
  • Ensure compliance with Contract Programme/Schedule and provide weekly reports to construction team on planned versus actual progress.
  • Review all incoming correspondence from employers, design team and/or subcontractors, to identify contractually critical items and to initiate replies.
  • Ensure reporting is in line with group policies & highlight exceptions to management.
  • Manage a team of quantity surveyors to ensure all commercial aspects of the business are managed effectively.
  • Responsible for cost controlling on all projects and ensuring budgets are achieved.
  • Proactive engagement with project managers on all live projects, to ensure business goals are achieved and the commercial interests of the company are protected.
  • Monitor projects through design stage and work with the design team to ensure project deliverables are achieved and project risks are minimized.
  • Issuing tender queries and preparation of tender reports and letting of sub-contract packages.
  • Preparing progress applications, cost reports, and monthly management accounts for each project.
  • Vetting all main contracts and negotiating commercial risks with prospective clients.
  • General participation in management issues of the company.

Necessary Requirements:

  • 3rd level Qualification in Quantity Surveying/Construction Economics.
  • Fresh Graduate.
