Job Description:
The AWS Infrastructure Energy Team is looking for a Grid Delivery Manager to own the delivery of critical HV/MV grid interconnection projects within EMEA. As a key member of the team, you will:
- Communicate with senior stakeholders to deliver complex projects across diverse teams to tight timelines.
- Provide weekly reporting on key project risks & issues at senior management, director, and vice president levels.
- Drive the grid infrastructure delivery program.
- Standardize processes and develop tools for delivery executions.
- Support financial budgeting and act as the point of contact between AWS and electricity utilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Construction, or related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
- 5+ years' experience delivering HV/MV grid interconnection projects, substations, and overhead lines/cables, involving working with Electricity Utilities.
- Demonstrated understanding of HV/MV electrical safety standards & protocols.
- Strong organizational, communication, and team building skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree (MBA/MS).
- Experience designing HV/MV substations or other energy infrastructure.
- Experience working for electricity utilities and/or energy regulators.
- Ability to converse in French or Italian is advantageous.
- Understanding of how to successfully transact business in multiple cultural contexts as well as experience directly managing international teams is a plus.
