Grocery Department Manager
We are Ireland's largest retailer providing fashion, homewares and food for our loyal customers. Our guiding principle is to deliver excellent quality products at competitive prices and we are constantly developing our product ranges.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team to deliver exceptional customer care and operational standards, maximising sales and profitability while maintaining costs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering the budgeted KPI plan for the department and any subsequent forecasts
- Delivering the Dunnes Stores principles of operations and customer service
- Leading the team to deliver the agreed business strategy
- Ensuring all relevant trading and legal policies are in place and adhered to
- Maximising sales through analysing sales data and pre-empting customer needs and demands
- Maintaining stock accuracy and ensuring the department has the right choice and levels of product to drive sales
- Demonstrating excellent customer service and ensuring the "Dunnes Stores Experience" customer service programme is delivered
- Monitoring and addressing any variations to the cost base of the department
- Setting and implementing department brand standards
- Ensuring the department complies with layouts and adjacencies
- Training and coaching team members to be passionate and knowledgeable about sales, product availability, stock control, merchandising and display standards
- Ensuring all process and business changes are implemented as per the business requirement and on time
