For a full job description please contact: Role Objective: The primary objective of a Commercial Director is to maximise the profitability and market share of both properties by developing and executing cohesive commercial strategies. This includes driving revenue growth, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring that both hotels achieve their financial targets while maintaining a consistent and high-quality guest experience. The Commercial Director aims to align the commercial activities of both hotels, ensuring they complement each other, capitalize on synergies, and effectively compete in the marketplace. Key Responsibilities: Develop and Execute Commercial Strategies: Formulate and implement comprehensive commercial strategies that align with the overall objectives of both hotels, focusing on revenue growth, market expansion, and brand positioning. Conduct regular market analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and threats. Use insights to adjust strategies and maintain a competitive edge in both local and international markets. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams that benefit both hotels. Oversee and manage all account management OTAs, PCOs, TM, FIT, DMCs, Tour Operators Oversee revenue management across both hotels, ensuring optimal pricing strategies, inventory management, and demand forecasting to maximize RevPAR and overall profitability. Develop and manage the commercial budgets for both hotels, ensuring alignment with financial goals. Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts, adjusting as necessary. Prepare and present comprehensive reports on commercial performance to the executive team, providing insights and recommendations. Identify potential risks to the commercial success of the hotels, including economic downturns, competitive threats, and market shifts. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies. Skill Set: Bachelors degree in business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, Finance, or a related field. Extensive experience in commercial management roles within the hospitality industry, preferably in a multi-property setting. Proven track record of driving revenue growth, profitability, and market share in a competitive environment. Strong background in sales, marketing, revenue management, and financial planning. Experience in strategic planning and implementation at a senior management level. Strong understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscape, and emerging trends in the hospitality industry. Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management. Ability to analyse financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve profitability. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial and market analysis. Familiarity with the latest trends and technologies in the hospitality industry, including digital marketing, revenue management systems, and customer relationship management (CRM) tools. Experience in managing and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, and Operations. Strong decision-making capabilities with a focus on achieving business objectives. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to a variety of stakeholders. Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to secure advantageous deals and partnerships. Ability to translate customer insights into actionable strategies that drive loyalty and repeat business.
