As part of our dynamic growth and recent acquisition by SoftBank Corp, which now owns a 51% stake in our company, we are expanding our finance team to support and sustain our strategic objectives and integration processes.Reporting to the Head of Controlling and Reporting, the successful candidate will be a qualified high calibre professional with Group Accounting experience, in either industry or practice. This role will suit an ambitious, detailed orientated candidate. Following Softbank’s 51% acquisition of Cubic Telecom and the anticipation of continued growth of the group, opportunities will open for the right individual for progression within the Group Finance Function.Role and Responsibilities Preparation of the Consolidated Financial statements in accordance with IFRS. Management of year end financial audit including point of contact with our auditors at the Group and Statutory levels. Preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts. Continued improvement of processes to deliver higher quality more efficient and effective reporting as we integrate with Softbank. Research and analysis of technical standards/guidance as queries/issues arise. Supporting the development of accounting policies and processes across the company. Assist in the development and implementation of best practice internal controls as if a PLC, suggesting policy and procedure amendments when needed. Ensure all statutory, Revenue and tax compliance deadlines are met across all subsidiaries. Management of in-house R&D Capitalisation and Revenue tax credit claim. Detailed KPI reporting on a monthly basis. Ensure tax compliance deadlines are met. Key contact to Softbank for all reporting purposes. Build and sustain effective working relationships with senior stakeholders across the organization and help drive key decisions and changes. Provide strategic recommendations to the Head of Controlling and Reporting on improvements across the financial reporting side of Finance. Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested. Minimum RequirementsQualified accountant ACA, with a minimum of two years PQE.Preferred Qualifications Experience working at one of the “Big Four” accounting firms an advantage. Thorough knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards. Strong technical accounting background, with a keen attention to detail. Demonstrate initiative, be self-motivating with strong organisational skills and track record of delivering results. Good analytical skills and problem-solving ability. A strong level of verbal and written communication skills including an ability to communicate well with senior management. Excellent IT skills, in particular advanced Excel. Experience with fully integrated ERP systems, preferably Oracle Netsuite. Organized individual with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high performance standards.
