Job Description

Quality Management Specialist

Responsible for ensuring the company's Quality Management System and Environmental Management System are implemented and maintained to meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage registration of products and coordinate with certification bodies
  • Ensure products meet CE marking requirements for Irish, UK, and French markets
  • Lead the way in ensuring regulatory compliance with Management Systems and certifications
  • Maintain Quality standards and accreditations across Cork and UK sites
  • Travel to UK site approximately once a month
  • Offer hybrid working after 6 months

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure certification to Quality Management System ISO9001:2015 and Environmental Management System ISO
  • Ensure Quality and Environmental procedures are consistently applied and followed
  • Manage, coordinate, and maintain ISO systems, including company records
  • Ensure internal audits are carried out in a timely manner
  • Manage and coordinate external audits
  • Develop and maintain product testing protocols
  • Maintain incoming goods inspection system and receiving COC's/COA's from suppliers
  • Develop and circulate relevant documentation, including product specifications and DoP's
  • Implement corrective action plans to prevent non-conforming products and activities
  • Develop and implement a continuous improvement process for all departments
  • Manage Document Control System and Technical Data Sheets/Specifications for manufactured products
  • Investigate and report on customer complaints
  • Ensure Aspects and Impacts Register and associated documents are in place
  • Conduct and attend regular quality and operational meetings
  • Drive key projects and provide input on CI of equipment, process, and manufacturing

Requirements:

  • Third-level qualification in a scientific or technical discipline
  • Minimum 5 years related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Quality and Environmental Systems
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, planning, and organization skills
  • Eligibility to live and work in the EU, fluent English, both written and spoken
  • Confident, enthusiastic individual with a "can-do" attitude
  • Strong project lead, decision maker, and problem solver
  • Prior people leadership/management experience is highly advantageous
