Job Description

Experienced Group Sales & Marketing Manager sought for leading national company in construction materials enhancement.

We are a leading national company specialising in the enhancement of construction materials, with a strong presence in the Irish market. Our head office is based in Dublin, with industrial plants strategically located around the island of Ireland. We employ over 300 people and are the leading producer in our sector.

The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the Group Sales & Marketing functions, including day-to-day supervision of sales & marketing teams, strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and more. This is a dynamic and evolving role with good opportunities for business expansion within the green agenda.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of sales and marketing function across all divisions
  • Understanding trends within the sector to position the Group for future opportunities
  • Proposing strategy initiatives to grow the business
  • Developing strong relationships within the sector and across the construction industry
  • Innovating and modernising the sales & marketing function to meet future changes in the sector
  • Developing suitable succession planning initiatives within the function
  • Staff development and recruitment/retention

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience in the management of a sales and marketing function
  • Previous experience at management level within the engineering or construction sectors
  • Third level academic qualifications across any discipline
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Good commercial common sense and ability to understand the market sector and competitor behaviour
  • Ability to maintain relationships and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and instil confidence and enthusiasm in colleagues
  • Ability to operate on own initiative
