We are recruiting for a dynamic Group Sustainability Lead to drive and uphold sustainability initiatives for a leading company in the food industry. This role is crucial in ensuring that the organization operates with environmental integrity and achieves its sustainability objectives.

The Group Sustainability Lead will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the company's sustainability strategy, integrating sustainable practices across business operations, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and standards. This role requires a proactive individual with a passion for sustainability and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Maintain and continuously improve the existing sustainability strategy to meet ambitious targets.
  • Monitor and assess progress towards sustainability goals, conducting regular evaluations to ensure targets are met.
  • Embed sustainable practices into daily business operations to achieve set targets and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and community partners to promote sustainability initiatives and enhance the company's reputation.
  • Ensure compliance with sustainability-related legislation and standards.
  • Prepare and manage reports for environmental agencies and government bodies.
  • Maintain and update key performance metrics related to sustainability.
  • Stay informed on sustainability trends, policies, and best practices.
  • Research and recommend new technologies and strategies to further enhance the company's sustainability efforts.
  • Represent the organization at industry events and conferences.

**Requirements:**

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a sustainability-focused role.
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of ESG principles and reporting standards, with a focus on sustainability in the food industry.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

**Working Conditions:**

  • Office-based role with regular interaction on the production floor.
  • Occasional travel required to meet with stakeholders and attend sustainability events.
  • Monday-Friday, 08:00-17:00.
