Job Description

The role which will be based in Dublin will be part of the Corporate Controllership team and report to the Director of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting. The candidate will work closely and collaboratively with colleagues in Sustainability, Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Marketing, Investor Relations and all Business Units.

This position will be responsible for leading the Group's sustainability reporting strategy to ensure that we meet the evolving regulatory requirements including Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and associated European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), the EU Taxonomy, the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and other EU and International Regulatory Frameworks.

Major responsibilities and duties of the position include:

1. Lead the overall sustainability reporting and disclosure approach to deliver best-in-class disclosures in line with the requirements of the CSRD and other regulatory frameworks.
2. Develop a clear project plan for Sustainability reporting requirements and define and document appropriate process controls to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
3. Perform regulatory research and analysis of new ESG regulations and document the impact on the Company and appropriate treatment under ESG regulatory reporting frameworks.
4. Design controls over the collection of financial and non-financial data points required under the EU CSRD, SEC, and other regulatory frameworks applicable to the Company.
5. Manage the collection, consolidation, and validation of ESG data points for use in internal, external, and regulatory filings.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional finance and non-finance teams, such as legal, investor relations, human resources, and operational sustainability teams to develop ESG policies, procedures, governance frameworks, and operational efficiencies.
7. Maintain, document, and improve the company's internal controls over ESG regulatory reporting to ensure assurance-ready compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory requirements. Coordinate with external auditors to ensure strategy and associated regulatory reporting is complete and accurate.
8. Work with business units to respond to questions and implement process improvements in order to create efficiencies and reduce timeframes for deliverables in the ESG regulatory reporting processes.
9. Assist, as needed, with SEC public filings including financial statements, MD&A, and other external filings.

The candidate should:

1. Be a qualified accountant with a minimum of 2 years of ESG advisory experience.
2. Have knowledge and understanding of developments in sustainability at the EU and international level, including experience with ESG reporting frameworks, including CSRD, ESRS, GRI, and EU Taxonomy.
3. Have experience in delivering data in a controlled environment with external assurance.
4. Have experience in monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes and a strong understanding of SEC, statutory reporting, and internal control environments.
5. Have strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure completeness and accuracy of information.
6. Exhibit a high level of professionalism and confidence to work effectively with colleagues from all levels of the Group from senior management to business unit leaders and all other employees throughout the Group.
7. Have the ability to inspire and educate non-sustainability experts and engage them with the reporting process.
8. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to take complex ESG reporting requirements and explain them in everyday language across the Group.
9. Have strong presentation skills with the ability to present and explain results of the analyses to various stakeholders in the organisation.
10. Be able to work on own initiative and under pressure to meet deadlines.
11. Possess excellent computer skills – Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
12. Experience in the Spanish language would be a plus.
13. Have the ability to travel internationally, as needed.
