The Role: The Specialist in Hematology will be accountable for providing and managing training to current and new technical staff in peripheral blood film morphology as well as carrying out specialized slide reviews. As a Morphology Specialist, the employee is expected to recognize the importance of and create a culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs. Responsible for peripheral blood morphology training and ongoing staff competency. Applies a variety of scientific principles and concepts to complete deliverables. Responsible for quality and compliance with applicable regulations. Plans and maintains sufficient resources to accomplish group tasks. Evaluate, coach and motivate staff. Promote and participate in professional development of scientists and laboratory facilities. You will need: Bachelors in a scientific field with 5+ years working in a Haematology Laboratory. Excellent Blood morphology skills. Experience in training/teaching blood morphology in the laboratory is desired. Excellent written communication skills.
