Location: Merrion Road, Dublin, Salary: Up to €35,000HEAD CHEF OPPORTUNITY!!Here at BaxterStorey We have an exciting opportunity for a Head Chef to work within a Mon-Fri corporate catering environment.This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspirational and enthusiastic Head Chef.Salary - €40,000Benefits including enhanced sick pay, birthday day off, paid maternity/paternity leave. volunteering leaveBespoke training and developmentDiscounts available from HAPI app, from high street shops to holidays and cinemasThis is a five-day operation requiring a Head Chef who has a strong corporate catering background looking for the opportunity to develop further and to manage their own kitchen. We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who can inspire and lead our great team and share their wealth of experience.WHAT WILL KEEP YOU BUSY:Ensure that the location achieves, as a minimum, the financial targets agreed with the client in line with the budgetMonitor the work of all the staff and carry out appraisals, recognise training needs and potential as appropriateHold team meetings on a regular basis to communicate targets, standards required and company and client informationWork with your General Manager to prepare budgets; achieve and maintain the food cost in accordance with the budgetDevelop and evolve all client’s services at location, ensuring regular adjustments and improvements are both recommended and implementedWHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:Thrive on getting the best out of people and maximising commercial opportunitiesExcellent kitchen management skillsFresh ideas for menu planning and hospitalityDraw satisfaction from managing, training and supporting a teamProvide a professional catering service, ensuring that company standards are maintained and that Client expectations are metPrevious experience a senior chef role, ideally in Contract Catering, Events or Hotel / ConferencingStrong understanding of the management element of the head chef roleExcellent supervisory and communication skillsGood delegation and influencing skillsAble to demonstrate your analytical approach to problem solvingAbility to display a real passion for food and customer serviceHands on approach
