Head of Business Development, Marketing and Communications Location: Dublin, Ireland Our client, a leading Irish professional services firm, is seeking a dynamic and accomplished Head of Marketing and Business Development to lead their marketing and drive business growth. This role will be situated within the Business support division, reporting to the Partner responsible for Business Development. The successful candidate will lead the strategic management of all business development, marketing and communications including branding within the firms guidelines and budgetary constraints. The candidate will have excellent strategic project management skills, be able to guide a team and has the ability to work closely with & influence key senior partners within a firm. In addition, they will demonstrate: Attitude and ability to maintain at a high standard, change, build and grow the firm as appropriate and required. A strategic and innovative thinker, a first-class communicator with excellent team leadership qualities. An initiative-taker, able to work effectively alone whom can inspire confidence whilst presenting a certain gravitas. Demonstrate a calm demeanour with the ability to remain un-flustered and maintain a cool head in challenging situations. Key Responsibilities: Business Development: Identify new focus areas aligned with the firm's strategy. Develop and implement Business Development and Client Relationship Plans, setting specific targets and measures of success. Regularly review progress with senior partners and adjust priorities as needed. Support in creating tenders, pitches, newsletters, brochures, website content, articles, and directory submissions. Provide training on business development, networking, and presentation skills. Marketing: Advise on and help implement strategies, including CRM systems, website updates, social media engagement, newsletters, articles, and legal directory submissions Events: Manage client events, including seminars, webinars, and entertainment Communications: Ensure effective internal and external communication of the firm's strategy and services. Person Specification: Skills and Experience: Significant experience in business development, marketing, and communications, ideally in the legal or professional services sector. Proven ability to drive business growth and achieve targets. Strong leadership experience with a track record of managing high-performing teams. Desirable - In-depth knowledge of the legal industry, market trends, and client needs. Experience in client relationship management, particularly with high-value clients. Success in developing and executing marketing campaigns and communication strategies. Proficiency with CRM systems, marketing tools, and analytics platforms. Personal Attributes: Strategic and innovative thinker with the ability to anticipate trends. Results-driven, with a strong focus on achieving measurable outcomes. Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build rapport and collaborate across all levels. Adaptable and resilient, with a calm demeanour under pressure. High integrity and commitment to the firm's values. Creative problem solver with meticulous attention to detail.
