Job Description

Looking for a Head of Compliance to lead a Compliance Department in Ireland. This role includes acting as the Company's Designated Person for Compliance (PCF-12 and PCF-39F) and Designated Person for Anti-Money Laundering (PCF-52). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and implementing effective compliance programs within the company's industry. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the company adheres to the requisite legal and regulatory obligations and internal policies, thereby safeguarding its integrity and maintaining reputation.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting both the Board and Executive Leadership team in managing the Company's compliance obligations.
  • Monitoring and advising principal business activities and reporting to the Board on Compliance areas.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest industry developments around regulation and best practices, to support the Company and its funds under management in an ever-changing environment.
  • MLRO duties including the reporting of any reported suspicious transactions.
  • Running the Compliance area with one senior Compliance professional direct report.
  • Working closely with other Compliance departments in the Group.

Skills and Experience:

  • Prior experience of acting in a PCF role in the area of Compliance.
  • Prior experience of working in a ManCo.
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry's standards and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization and with external partners.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing compliance programs that have successfully mitigated risks.
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations and complex compliance issues with a calm and strategic approach.
