Location: Dublin Workplace Type: Hybrid Employment Type: Permanent Seniority: Mid-Senior Level The main purpose of the role is to ensure that the Ireland-based authorised firm within the SJP Group, (SJPI) are aware of and can align with applicable regulatory and conduct requirements, including those proposed or confirmed changes to the CBI and EU-level regulation as pertains to SJPI and the Group; to assist the business in implementing regulatory changes; and to advise the business so that the interpretation of existing rules and guidance is appropriate and in accordance with risk appetite Responsibilities Overall responsibility (PCF12)for leading the operation of the compliance function and reporting directly to the Board and/or relevant subcommittee on compliance matters. Prescribed Responsibility PR2: Responsibility for the firm's performance of its obligations under the Fitness and Probity Regime under Part 3 of the 2010 Act. Responsible for the adherence to the IAF/SEAR requirements by SJPI's PCF population, working with Group functions as needed. Monitor, along with Group colleagues, the regulatory horizon regarding compliance related matters assessing impact and required approach to compliance. Special Requirements Detailed and extensive knowledge of the Central Bank of Ireland rules for Insurance entities, and all relevant EU legislation (Directives and Regulations) pertaining to Irish-based authorised firms. As the Head of Compliance, you will have a recognised compliance qualification (LCIAI or equivalent), third level degree, ideally in a legal/audit/risk field You will possess a strong Regulatory Compliance background in a financial services/insurance/funds environment and have had significant exposure and experience dealing with the Central Bank of Ireland ("CBI") You will have a strong understanding of compliance risks within the life insurance industry such as Fitness and Probity, Corporate Governance, IDD.
