Director, Data Risk Management Who will this role suit - Someone who is looking for a Leadership Role and someone who can guide an organisation with a robust Data Risk Management Framework and help built out this function. Expectation of this role - is that you provide challenge on data management, governance, and risk mitigation activities in support of the groups data strategy. Job Description This position will establish and continuously enhance the oversight of Data Risks for the Group. The role will be responsible for providing guidance and oversight for the local entity, in alignment with group programs, policies, and standards and particularly processes that support articulation of the risk profile and trend. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Create and maintain Data Risk Management Frameworks and Policies including Risk Appetite Measures Create and Embed the Data Risk Management Roadmap for effective second line oversight, including the establishment of relevant metrics and key indicators Analyze and monitor emerging Data Risks and trends, providing insights and recommendations to senior management. Drive forward initiatives to build out compliance with Data Risk Management regulations, standards, and guidelines applicable to European banking institutions. Conduct comprehensive reviews of Data Risk assessments across the organization, providing effective challenge related to the identification of potential risks and opportunities. Stay updated on Data Risk developments, regulations, and industry best practices and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Support the development and delivery of Regulatory, Board, and Risk Reporting submission working with Operational Risk Management, committee secretaries, and senior leaders as required Conduct internal and external research projects Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite Job Requirements : 8+ years leading complex business / data / technology initiatives within and across multiple businesses In-depth understanding of data governance best practices and industry trends. Experience with the creation and oversight of Board, Risk and Regulatory Reporting Ability to influence and drive results without direct authority Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to present ideas and facilitate discussions to build consensus to a broad range of stakeholders Creative and analytical thinker Ability to thrive in a face paced, dynamic and ambiguous environment.
