**Data Risk Management Director** A seasoned leader is sought to establish and enhance the oversight of Data Risks for a leading financial institution, driving forward initiatives to build out compliance with Data Risk Management regulations. **Job Description** This role will be responsible for providing guidance and oversight for the local entity, in alignment with group programs, policies, and standards. The successful candidate will create and maintain Data Risk Management Frameworks and Policies, including Risk Appetite Measures, and drive forward initiatives to build out compliance with Data Risk Management regulations. **Key Responsibilities:** • Create and maintain Data Risk Management Frameworks and Policies, including Risk Appetite Measures • Embed the Data Risk Management Roadmap for effective second-line oversight, including the establishment of relevant metrics and key indicators • Analyze and monitor emerging Data Risks and trends, providing insights and recommendations to senior management • Drive forward initiatives to build out compliance with Data Risk Management regulations, standards, and guidelines applicable to European banking institutions • Conduct comprehensive reviews of Data Risk assessments across the organization, providing effective challenge related to the identification of potential risks and opportunities • Stay updated on Data Risk developments, regulations, and industry best practices and identify opportunities for continuous improvement **Requirements:** • 8+ years leading complex business / data / technology initiatives within and across multiple businesses • In-depth understanding of data governance best practices and industry trends • Experience with the creation and oversight of Board, Risk and Regulatory Reporting • Ability to influence and drive results without direct authority • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to present ideas and facilitate discussions to build consensus to a broad range of stakeholders • Creative and analytical thinker • Ability to thrive in a face-paced, dynamic and ambiguous environment • High tolerance for the pressure of constant change and stringent timelines • Strong organizational and prioritization skills • Previous experience in roles with regional mandates is an asset • Experience collaborating with Senior Executives, regulators & regional stakeholders preferred • Proficient in Word, Excel, and Power Point • College / University and/or equivalent work experience in the financial services industry
