Job Description
We are seeking a visionary and technical leader to lead our data science team and help us realize our vision of creating AI-powered solutions for product and corporate compliance. The ideal candidate will have expertise in deep learning and generative AI, leadership experience, and a strong understanding of software architecture for high availability and fault tolerance. Key responsibilities include leading the development of generative AI models and AI agents, leveraging unstructured data, and ensuring AI systems are ethical, transparent, and compliant with regulations. The successful candidate will also facilitate collaboration between the data science team and other departments, educate teams on AI technologies, and engage with external partners and industry experts. We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in data science and AI, a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams, and experience with modern data science tools and libraries. The ideal candidate will also have excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
- Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead, grow and inspire our team of data scientists and AI engineers
- Define and execute the data science strategy aligned with our mission
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure AI initiatives succeed
- AI Product Development:
- Spearhead the development of generative AI models and AI agents
- Leverage unstructured data to build or tune models
- Stay at the forefront of AI advancements and integrate cutting-edge techniques
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Facilitate collaboration between the data science team and other departments
- Engage with external partners and industry experts to keep our AI capabilities at the cutting edge
- Author whitepapers and speak at industry events
Requirements:
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- 15+ years of experience in data science and AI in a commercial environment
- Proven experience in building and leading data science teams
- Expertise in machine learning, data engineering, and cloud-native architectures
- Hands-on experience with modern data science tools and libraries
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL
- Experience with AWS and related data services
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong understanding of software architecture for high availability and fault tolerance
