Vacancy ID : 034364 Closing Date : 17-Oct-2024 12:00 The Department of Humanities has a strong track record and an academic portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate taught and research programmes across a range of disciplines including Design, Law, Professional Social Care Practice and Early Childhood Education and Practice. The Head of Department of Humanities will assist in bringing the Department to the next stage of development expanding the Department's research and teaching mission while keeping a learner centered focus. Applicants should be strategic and inspirational leaders with an ability to lead a progressive curriculum and research agenda within the Department while effectively managing human, financial and operational resources, liaising with other Departments across SETU and building strong alliances with external professional and community stakeholders. Essential Criteria: An appropriate Honours degree (First or Second Class) or equivalent qualification At least 5 years appropriate post qualification experience of managing people, projects, research and/or budgets Desirable Criteria: A higher qualification at Masters and/or PhD Level Salary: Senior Lecturer II Salary Scale €92,252 - €118,605 #SETUC
