Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to join our team as Head of Development in Ireland. You will play a critical role in driving the growth of Fuse by developing and acquiring new solar, wind, and energy storage assets. This encompasses leading market analysis, negotiating land agreements, managing the grid connection process & permitting, and assessing project viability. Additionally, you will actively evaluate potential project acquisitions and strategic partnering opportunities. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead our development team in Ireland and contribute significantly to our mission of building a terawatt of renewable capacity.Responsibilities:Identify optimal sites for greenfield developmentNegotiate land agreements and cultivate positive relationships with landownersOversee environmental assessments and project permitting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirementsManage grid connection processesRepresent Fuse's vision and mission to regulatory agencies, government funding bodies, and local planning authorities to secure approvals and funding for Fuse's renewable energy projectsIdentify and deliver available grants, subsidies, and other sources of funding across federal, state, and local bodiesInvestigate and facilitate acquisitions that align with company objectivesProactively identify, approach, and collaborate with potential partners, including energy project developers, investors, trading counterparties, and other stakeholders to drive mutual growth and achieve our strategic objectivesRequirementsProven experience in leading development initiatives within the renewable energy sectorExtensive experience with finding grid headroomStrong negotiation skills and expertise in land agreements Knowledge of environmental assessment processes and project permittingFamiliarity with subsidies and other financial incentives for renewable energy projectsAbility to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholdersExperience in project budgeting and financial viability assessmentsPreferably from an electrical engineering background and with previous experience in network operators or developersBenefitsCompetitive salary and a stock options sign-on bonusBiannual bonus schemeFully expensed tech to match your needs!Paid annual leaveDeliveroo breakfast and dinner for office-based employees #J-18808-Ljbffr
