Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced individual to join as theHead of Digital and Innovation. In this role, the successful candidate will drive the continued success of the client, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of advanced service delivery. Responsibilities will include implementing technology-enabled solutions for clients, optimising internal processes and enabling innovation across the company. The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team comprising of project managers, technologists and innovation specialists. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to align digital and innovation initiatives with the companys strategic objectives, enhance operational efficiency and elevate client service excellence. In this role, you will have responsibility for the following: Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the companys strategic roadmap, ensuring alignment with the companys broader business objectives. Work in close collaboration with the Managing Director and the Executive Committee to position digital and innovation as a key driver of the companys growth and competitiveness. Digital Services: Supervise the delivery and expansion of the clients Digitals suite of client-facing digital services. Collaborating with all practice groups and business service functions to integrate technology-driven solutions and process innovations that enhance client service delivery and operational efficiency. Process Optimisation: Lead internal process optimisation initiatives, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within scope and budget. Drive process improvements across the company to enhance productivity and operational performance. Innovation Management: Ensure the effective implementation of the companys innovation framework, driving measurable business outcomes that contribute to both immediate objectives and the companys long-term growth and sustainability. Focus on fostering a culture of innovation that delivers tangible value to the company and its clients. Stakeholder Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with senior management and leaders across the company. Ensure seamless integration of digital services and innovative practices, fostering alignment between digital and innovation initiatives and the companys strategic goals. Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue commercial opportunities for the clients Digitals service offerings, both within the company and externally with clients. Focus on creating new digital revenue streams, enhancing market competitiveness and driving the adoption of technology-enabled solutions across the companys client base. Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to effectively promote the clients Digitals service offerings, both within the company and to external clients. Ensure that the clients Digital capabilities are clearly communicated, highlighting the value of its technology-driven solutions. Collaborate with the companys marketing and business development teams to raise the clients profile. Financial Management: Work alongside the Director of Finance and other key stakeholders to oversee the financial management and performance of the clients Digitals client-facing services. Maintain a strong focus on financial sustainability while driving value for the company and its clients. Risk and Compliance: Ensure that all the clients Digital services adhere to the companys risk management framework and comply with relevant regulations. Collaborate with the risk management team to mitigate risks and maintain the highest standards of compliance across all digital service offerings. Professional Development and Knowledge Management: Collaborate with the Directors of Professional Development and Knowledge Management to integrate the clients Digital Services into the companys professional development and knowledge programs. About you You have a minimum of 8 years of experience in a legal, technology, or consultancy setting, with at least five years in a senior leadership role within a professional services environment. You have a bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. You have advanced knowledge of enterprise collaboration platforms, including HighQ, the Microsoft Power suite of applications and document review platforms such as Relativity and Nuix. You have the ability to influence senior stakeholders, lead cross-functional teams and deliver large-scale digital and innovation projects or initiatives in the context of a legal or professional service. You have a strong understanding of legal practice and the ability to align technological innovations with the needs of legal professionals and clients. You have knowledge of innovation methodologies and emerging technologies, particularly those related to legal service delivery, including AI, data analytics, automation and process optimisation tools.
