Posting Description Head of Engineering - Aon Centre for Innovation and Analytics (ACIA) Do you have experience serving as a leader for an incredible group of data and technology professionals? The Head of Engineering is a member of the Analytics Senior Leadership team and will be responsible for leading a high performing Engineering and Architecture function of 40 colleagues globally. What the day will look like The successful candidate will work closely with other functions to enable our delivery squads and drive the delivery of high-quality analytics solutions for Aon's Clients and Colleagues. They will provide vision and thought leadership in the design, development, implementation and run of scalable cloud-based architectures for data products and services. They will provide strategic thinking and leadership on our D&A portfolio, including contributing to the roadmap, engaging in cross-organisation priority projects with a heavy data component, and ensuring successful delivery of data and integration engineering, data applications, reporting, and analysis services. Work with teams of talented engineers and product teams to deliver product portfolio Lead the engineering team in achieving a high level of technical excellence and operational stability Recruit, coach and develop engineers/technology professionals Represent D&A in enterprise-wide technology initiatives and interface effectively with the rest of Aon Drive the roadmap for your team, and work with dependencies across the company Evangelise, define, and implement development standards through automation and modern data architecture standards How this opportunity is different In an increasingly volatile world, the ability to use data to enable better decision-making has never been more important. Skills and experience that will lead to success: The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in technical team leadership and people management with a strong passion for new technologies. A minimum of 10+ years as a leader in a Data & Analytics product organisation Collaborative with both technical and wider business colleagues on the delivery of new solution Strong skillset related to data engineering, architecture, analytics, cloud services and application development Deep experience with knowledge of designing, developing, and delivering end-to-end data integration Manage the budget, relationships with vendors, and technology partners throughout the enterprise How we support our colleagues In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce.
