Contract type: Full Time (37.5 hours) - Fixed Term (31/08/2026)Location: Dublin International Study CentreSalary: up to €44,500 per annumAt Dublin ISC, we take a holistic and collaborative approach to student welfare and achievement. We inspire our students to become lifelong learners and contributors to society - it's not just about the grades on the transcript!ABOUT THE ROLELead and motivate a team of Academic English Skills tutors to ensure the best possible student outcomes and experience.Develop and implement an approach to learning, teaching, and assessment that inspires students and meets their development needs.Identify and create strategies to support language and Academic Skills development integrated into subject modules.Provide effective performance management of direct reports, including appraisals and professional development activities.Recruit and induct new academic staff for Academic English Skills modules as required.Implement effective teaching and assessment strategies that align with best practices and QQI standards.Participate in QQI audits and reviews, providing necessary documentation for compliance.Manage annual leave, absences, and pay claims for direct reports.Handle grievances and disciplinary issues for direct reports.Facilitate opportunities for staff to develop their pedagogy around language skills.Participate actively within the Centre’s leadership team to promote high expectations and deliver an excellent student learning experience.Attend and contribute to relevant DISC governance committee meetings.Contribute to partnership development with university academics to enhance students’ academic preparedness.Plan and undertake regular personal development as agreed with your line manager.Promote and safeguard the welfare of students.Oversee the design and delivery of the Academic English Skills module.Allocate teaching resources for Academic English Skills according to scheduling guidelines.Oversee the production of documentation for Academic English Skills.Lead the design and implementation of appropriate assessment activities for Academic English Skills.Teach modules and/or sessions as agreed with the Centre Management (maximum 15 hours).Ensure classes are appropriately covered when tutors are absent.Oversee the recording and reporting of teaching and assessment activity.Work with the Head of Centre and Head of Curriculum and Progression to design new programmes and methods of delivery.Collaborate with ISC network colleagues to ensure compliance with DISC and QQI requirements.ABOUT YOUMaster’s degree (essential).Relevant Teaching qualification (essential, e.g., DELTA, TEFL, MA Linguistics).Leadership and management training (desirable).Leadership and management experience in a teaching environment (essential).Experience in leading a team to achieve high levels of student academic performance (essential).Experience in teaching English to international students (essential).Experience in planning and running complex education courses in English (essential).Experience in leading academic skills programmes (desirable).Experience of partnership working in the education sector (desirable).Experience with QQI quality assurance processes (desirable).ABOUT USStudy Group is a leading international education provider dedicated to helping students reach their full potential.
