Job Description

The Gleneagle Hotel & INEC Arena has a vacancy for the position of Head of Event Management.

This senior role is instrumental in the advance planning, coordination and delivery of entertainment events and festivals in the Gleneagle Hotel venues, INEC Arena and on the Gleneagle complex.

This is a full-time role working five days over seven.

Kerry is a 279-bedroom hotel with self-catering apartments on site, comprehensive leisure facilities, several food & beverage options and extensive multi-purpose spaces for live entertainment, corporate events, banqueting, meetings and festivals including the INEC Arena, INEC Club, Ballroom and MOD Meeting rooms.

This role may suit a senior hotel manager looking for a new challenge, or someone working in events management looking to take the next step in their career.


The key focus areas for this role are:

Planning & Coordination:

Coordinate and plan the set up and production of the event on site ensuring the delivery of a high-quality event including liaison with clients, supervision of contractors, application for permits and licenses, pre-event communication with all internal stakeholders, rostering of staff, development of deployment and event plans, adherence to budgets, compliance with all legislative, H&S ISO standards.


Event Delivery:

Work with Gleneagle Hotel management team and INEC team to deliver the event, oversee all the moving parts during the event.

Act as Event Controller for larger INEC events.

Maintenance, Health & Safety:

Overseeing preventative maintenance plan for the INEC, ensuring adherence to health & safety and ISO standards across the INEC and all venues ensuring safety of employees, patrons and artists during event set up and breakdown as well as during the event itself.


Festivals:

Responsible for the overall coordination, organizing and delivering of festivals throughout the calendar year, participating in the development of new ideas for festivals and responsible for bringing them to fruition.


The successful candidate will have the following:
Minimum Level 7 qualification in Event Management is preferred but not essential.
4 years + Experience of running high volume entertainment and corporate events.
Previous experience in managing and coaching a team.
Proven ability to deal with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent administration and organisational skills including attention to detail, accurate written skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to live events.
