As a key member of the Executive Committee, you will lead the company's financial controls and internal and external reporting requirements for Paysend EU DAC, a growing multi-national fintech company.
**Job Summary** Lead the finance function of a fintech company, overseeing financial controls, reporting, and risk management, with a focus on regulatory compliance and financial strategy. **Responsibilities** * Manage day-to-day finance function, including preparation of management and statutory accounts and annual filings * Oversee all financial control activities, including month-end close process, management accounts, and balance sheet substantiation * Lead External Audit engagements and Internal Audit review and closure of recommendations * Ensure reliability of financial reporting and regulatory compliance * Manage CESOP reporting and finance-related risks * Reconcile safeguarding accounts and maintain sufficient own funds to meet regulatory requirements * Provide executive management with high-quality financial information and analysis * Represent Finance on Executive Committees and report to the board on finance-related matters * Manage payroll and corporate bank accounts * Develop systems and procedures to ensure strong financial controls * Manage statutory tax reporting and cash flow * Support group projects and deliverables * Supervise and manage the finance control team **Requirements** * Experience in regulated companies reporting to the CBI * Experience leading financial services audits with external auditors * Fully qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with at least 7 years post-qualification experience * Solid knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, and tax * Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel * Excellent written and verbal communication * Strong focus on controls and processes and high attention to detail * Up-to-date technical skills and confident preparing IFRS financial statements * Ability to work closely with external advisers (audit and accounting) * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Strong people management skills **Ideal Candidate** * High growth tech experience (preferably Fin Tech) * Experienced best practice in a larger organisation or external audit company * High energy and creativity, entrepreneurial spirit, and ability to work autonomously in a fast growth and changing environment * Understanding of the payments industry * Deep understanding of Net Suite
