As part of a team of over 900, you will be encouraged to learn and to grow, both professionally and personally.About the roleIn the role, the successful candidate will:Embed the Financial Risk Framework across the Davy Group and maintain a suite of financial risk policies.Provide 2LoD financial risk coverage for Capital Markets and provide business partnering with Capital Markets for the Risk function.Provide financial risk management (e.g. Market Risk, Credit Risk, Liquidity Risk, Investment Risk) subject matter advice and guidance across Davy as well as challenge and review of strategic initiatives within the business.Provide input (in conjunction with the Head of Enterprise Risk, Director of Capital Management and Head of Commercial) to the firm’s ICAAP.Management, monitoring and reporting of performance against the Risk Plan.Lead the Financial Risk Committees / Forums.Attend other relevant Committee/Forum meetings in order to represent the Risk function and/or provide financial risk perspective.Accountable for overall risk oversight of certain legal entities as appropriate, with support from the wider 2LoD functions.Responsible for production/approval of financial risk metrics and analysis (e.g. VaR, Stress Testing, sensitivities, Counterparty assessment and reporting) for board and external reports.Responsible for ongoing development / maintenance of the firm’s financial risk system;Oversight of financial risk aspects of capital.Provide Financial Risk input/guidance to Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSAs).Provide advice as well as challenge to Capital markets in relation to specific aspects of Davy’s Risk Management Framework e.g. risk appetite, risk taxonomy, enterprise risks.About youWe are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:Strong educational background (3rd level relevant degree and/or professional qualification);Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a risk-related roles that have exposed you to different risk areas e.g. Market Risk, Credit Risk, Model Risk, Liquidity Risk, Investment Risk etc;Demonstrable applied knowledge of the various components of a strong Risk Management Framework;Knowledge of VaR, ICAAP, scenario analysis, stress testing preferential;Knowledge of Stratpro an advantage;Knowledge of various products / instruments: bonds, repos, equities, futures etc;Experience of financial risk/pricing models;Excellent communication, commitment and problem-solving skills and excellent presentation skills;Track record of fostering inclusivity, co-operating within a team and has excellent interpersonal skills;Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills;Knowledge of Financial Services Regulation preferential;Track record leading and driving process and technology change;People management experience beneficial.What we offerWe offer a range of benefits and experiences to support your professional and personal growth, whatever your career stage.
