Head of FP&A European Team

The Head of FP&A sits on the European FP&A team and is responsible for the multi-year plan, regional management and finance reporting and ad-hoc support to senior management for the European entities.

Reporting to the VP of FP&A, the successful candidate will lead the development of the financial forecast and planning of the European expansion and will support the wider project team including the full local management and financial reporting cycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivery of the multi-year plan under the European expansion and leading the transition into BAU deliverables once the strategy has been implemented.
  • Leading the European Expansion Project, including the credit application, with a key focus on the Financial Projections Compiling and submitting project status reports to management and other stakeholders.
  • Working effectively with relevant stakeholders for efficient project implementation.
  • Challenging business assumptions to ensure the business Strategy is cohesive and is reflected within the financial projections.
  • Working closely with the stress team to facilitate and support their stress testing scenarios.
  • Providing ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting such as Board materials and strategy presentations.
  • Leading the production of the Monthly Operating Results for senior management.
  • Leading the annual planning and quarterly forecasting process for the Irish and European entities.

Requirements:

  • Professional Accounting or industry-specific qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CFA, or equivalent).
  • 7+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance or Audit.
  • Financial Services experience, preferably within Investment / Corporate Banking.
  • Understanding of management and financial reporting processes within Banking.
  • Position requires a keen interest in capital markets.
  • Self-motivated individual with ability to work independently and prioritize multiple deliverables appropriately.
  • Exhibits meticulous attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • High level of proficiency in Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Proficiency with Hyperion is preferred.
  • Prior project-based experience working in a European Banking environment is desirable.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial planning and analysis, with excellent communication and leadership skills. They will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple deliverables.
