About the role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Director to join the Davy Wealth Management Division as head of investments for our execution only platform, Davy Select. Reporting to the Head of Advisory across Davy Wealth Management, this role is responsible for the overall strategy of the Investment Platform in Davy Select and expanding Davy Select’s offering to retail clients. The role is suited to an experienced Investment professional currently operating at a Director/Senior Director level, with exceptional drive, determination, and a proven track record of performance in a fast-paced, complex regulated business. This person must have the ability to innovate, motivate and build relationships. In the role, the successful candidate will: Lead an investment function to provide solutions for both the intermediary and direct retail markets. Design and oversee the development of investment solutions across all business channels in Davy Select. Work directly with senior management on the launch of new Investment Products. Manage complex and critical model management operations for a range of investment solutions. Continuously improve the organisation’s ways-of-working around investment selection, portfolio construction and fund lists, establishing strong relationships across all business and operations areas. Work with the broader Davy Investment team on Investment Strategy & Investment Selection initiatives. Act as a point of contact for all queries relating to investment issues between the Davy Select Account Managers and Independent Financial Advisers. Provide investment analysis on funds and strategies as required. Contribute at intermediary and client events, internal investment seminars and client meetings. Attend investment conferences and seminars as required for either CPD or as part of input to investment reports. Monitor our current client base in terms of trading patterns, investment preferences, trends etc. Understand the retail investor market, both in Ireland and internationally, with a view to gaining insights on the opportunities and challenges that trading platforms face. Outline a clear communications strategy with a focus on improving the overall client experience through education, insights etc. Represent the team at various committees/forums. As a key member of the Davy Select Team, make a significant contribution to the execution of the strategy and vision for Davy Select with the Wealth Management and operating plans. Requirements About you We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills: Minimum 10 years’ experience in financial services, preferably MiFID investment firms. Strong background in Investments, ideally CFA qualified. Excellent communication skills and ability to build stakeholder relationships. High level of accuracy with strong attention to detail. An ability to prioritise own workload. Previous experience in investments or finance. Expertise in stakeholder management with proven track record in people leadership. Strong functional skills and knowledge of Wealth Management Operations. Excellent motivational, communication and interpersonal skills. Experience of building and maintaining relationships of trust with stakeholders including Senior Management, Governance Committees and External Strategic Partners.
