Overview This role is a senior management level appointment reporting to the Chief Technology and Operations Officer and offers the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of FBD's IT Governance and Operational Resilience framework. Operating within the First Line of Defence, you will work closely with Senior Management Team colleagues and play a key role in embedding a strong IT governance culture in the Company, ensuring IT governance processes are efficiently identified and addressed and FBD's levels of operational resilience are continually reviewed and enhanced as a required. You will have proven IT Governance and Operational Resilience experience with strong problem solving and influencing skills. Job Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of IT specialists with responsibility for: IT Governance; Operational Resilience and DORA; Business Continuity Planning (BCP); PPMO Planning, Tracking and Reporting; IT Budgeting and Financial Management; Conduct quality reviews of our IT Policies and Procedures to ensure they meet our high standards and implement process changes as necessary to reflect lessons learned. Job Responsibilities Ownership of IT Governance and Operational Resilience controls. Work with the CTOO, senior IT colleagues, and Project Sponsors to prioritise programmes, and the allocation of resources appropriate to project budgets. Take an active part in articulating how IT will deliver against the strategic initiatives of the organisation, and assist senior business sponsors to formulate and assist with the assessment of business cases for change programmes and projects. Invest in positive working relationships across all aspects of our business. Take the lead role in our annual IT budgeting process. Motivate, mentor and develop staff within their team Oversee and manage recruitment, staff appraisals, performance monitoring, training, staff development, team building and staff motivation within their team. Education A relevant Third level qualification is preferred. One or more relevant certifications e.g. CGEIT, CRISC, CISM, CISA, CISO is a plus. Experiences Minimum 10 years+ relevant IT Governance/ IT Risk & Controls experience in any of the following areas: IT Governance processes, security design/re-design, GRC implementation within a regulated financial services company. Experienced in Business Continuity management, preferably in the financial services sector. Ideally an IT Governance related qualification such as Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) or similar IT Governance certifications. Exposure to delivery of IT services in a technical role desirable. Strong knowledge of the IT regulatory environment including IT Governance, Operational Resilience and DORA. Knowledge and/or multiple certifications in GRC tooling (SAP GRC, ServiceNow GRC). Clear, strong communicator with ability to clearly articulate vision for the function. Highly organised with an ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. Ability to work to deadlines and targets in a busy and demanding environment - can prioritise tasks under pressure. Excellent interpersonal skills, e.g. ability to listen, influence people and be assertive as required. Good problem solving skills - identifying problems and proposing solutions. Additional Information This role is being offered on a permanent basis. We currently work two days a week in the office and three days at home. This role is located in Head Office in Bluebell, Dublin 12.
