JOB TITLE: Head of IT REPORTS TO: CFO LOCATION: Dublin Office JOB SUMMARY: Our client are currently seeking a strong IT professional to assist in developing and implementing a number of projects across infrastructure and operations as Head of IT. This role will cover all aspects of the organisation's use of technology, working closely with stakeholders to address the needs of various functional areas and provide value to the business. The Head of IT will be responsible for ensuring consistency and suitability across IT infrastructure and solutions, and compliance with availability, functionality, and security. Our client have approx 100 employees and the Head of IT will oversee all IT concerns for these personnel. This role will also take ownership of the creation of IT policy and strategy, the implementation of solutions and infrastructure, and leveraging technology to assist in achieve business goals. KEY ACTIVITIES: Deliver expert knowledge, experience and a capacity to provide support, and develop and deliver IT strategy. Lead and manage technical functions effectively, in line with stakeholder requirements and procedures, within budget. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement that can deliver excellent service to clients. Full lifecycle management of fixed network systems - IP lease assignments for fixed equipment, firewall management and maintenance, and lifecycle planning (accruals). Develop remote access and support procedure to control systems e.g. TeamViewer. Microsoft 365 Admin and strategy. Microsoft SharePoint site rules, access groups, standard workflow, validation for regulated activities systems. Integration with Microsoft Teams strategy. Management of user hardware - platforms supported, access rules, compliance (MFA), group laptop image management. ERP/CRM strategy alongside medical industry compliance requirements. Validation of change management within Order Management System and Medical software validation. Project Management - advise and inform senior stakeholders on the requirements of IT projects and programmes and project manage the implementation of projects as required. Support the continued development and maintenance of the organisation wide information technology strategy. Keep up to date with technology and advise on how new technological solutions and their implementation can meet finance, business and system requirements. Cyber security and risk management. Lead on the security and integrity of the organisations information technology and communication systems to ensure they are maintained to the highest level of confidentiality and sensitivity and are protected against internal and external threats. Provide data analytics and KPI reporting from the ERP system (Dashboards) as required. Manage key IT functions, including: Manage and develop IT hardware, applications and systems across all areas and activities in the organisation Maintain system and data security and reliability. Infrastructure and systems development and implementation. User and network support Maximise IT hardware and applications benefits for improved business processes and organisational effectiveness both internally and externally. Manage relationship with technology partners/suppliers, working closely with suppliers/key stakeholders to complete deliverables. Account for the performance of IT, achieving best value and continuous improvement in service delivery. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE Computer Science/Engineering Level 8 Degree preferred or equivalent experience. Relevant professional or technical qualifications preferred. Membership of relevant professional body e.g. BCS is desirable. 3+ years in a similar role. Broad experience with infrastructure and network management. Cybersecurity, database management, cloud computing, ERP/Business Systems. Advanced Excel. Thorough understanding of cloud-based technologies.
