MCS Group is proud to be working with a growing, market leading Irish company in their search for a Head of IT. You will work on-site from one of their locations either in Fermanagh, Longford or Cork, leading their expanding IT team and developing and implementing exciting IT and Infrastructure solutions for the future. (On-site 5 days per week- Ireland/UK) Rewards: Generous salary dependant on experience Flexible package to suit the needs of the right applicant (pension, company car etc) Responsibilities: Lead on strategies for the department Develop and implement cloud migration plans Develop and analyse Cyber Security strategy Foster and develop relationships with IT vendors and partners Responsibility for all IT costs, value and risk in the organisation Continuously improve the performance of the teams and analyse requirements Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in the industry Requirements: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is a plus At least 5 years of experience as a Head of IT or similar managerial role Strong knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure Manufacturing/Industrial domain experience a strong advantage Knowledge of change management Experience of strategic planning and seeing it through Strong understanding of budgeting and business ops Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment Open to the travel required for a senior multi-site role (circa 5 days per month) as well as working on-site 5 days per week.
