Head of Land Contracts Solicitor - Renewable EnergyOur client is a global renewable projects developer. They are seeking to appoint a Head of Land Contracts Solicitor. This role reports to the legal director; cross-liaising with in-house legal and project managers on areas of mutual concern. It offers very flexible working and a competitive package.Main responsibilities:Initially, evaluating, procuring and using best-in-class AI contract assembly software.Taking instructions from the development team according to an agreed instructions template.Tailoring standard-form commercial land agreements for wind and solar project developments to specific landowners’ commercial and practical requirements, ensuring inputting accuracy regarding: (i) landowner titles; (ii) agreed payments; (iii) mapping; and (iv) compliance with RAG legal / contracting playbook.E-mailing (95%) and/or arranging for posting out (5%) to landowners and their local law firms.Liaising with the Head of Company Secretarial and Contracts Management to maintain a permanent central database of all documents sent out.Responding, by e-mail and telephone, to landowners’ lawyers’ queries.Ongoing contract management.Regularly inputting generic pan-group contractual improvements according to local legal norms and checking generic precedents for consistency with RAG legal / contracting playbook.Expanding the service to other group territories according to local requirements and managing the same.Internal support and key interactions:The position will report to the legal director and will have significant interactions with the Irish development team, the mapping team, and Accounts Payable.I am looking to speak with an experienced solicitor with significant front-line commercial negotiating experience.
