Job Description

Embark on an exciting new career at Barclays as Head of Platform Delivery for the European Private Bank. In this role, you will support in end-to-end local platform management. This will include, but is not limited to, strategy design and execution, management of a scalable and stable platform for clients and colleagues, regulatory risk mitigation, and platform development. You will be responsible for driving platform strategy and change while taking ownership of the system, processes, and procedures on the platform, while providing an end-to-end client journey experience throughout the process. To be successful within the role of Head of Platform Delivery you should have: Excellent Stakeholder Management, being able to communicate findings in a clear, concise, and informative manner. A logical outlook to problem-solving and the ability to network and grow contacts to help understand and solve issues that arise. A background within strategic planning/change management, preferably within the world of Private Banking. Knowledge of risk, controls, and governance. Some other highly valued skills may include: Ability to learn quickly, taking on board new information and adapting it to various scenarios. Ability to constructively challenge and be challenged in the team. Understanding how to use data to inform timely decision-making. You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in the role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills. This role is based in Dublin and is a CBI Regulated role. It is deemed a controlled function role under the Central Bank of Ireland fitness and probity regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks. Purpose of the role: To take responsibility for end-to-end local platform management including strategy design & execution, scalable and stable platform for clients & colleagues, and regulatory risk mitigation & management. Accountabilities: Business ownership of systems, processes & procedures on the platform and end-to-end client journey management, oversight, business continuity & service recovery. Management, understanding, and interpretation of local & group regulatory requirements & standards. Driving platform strategy and change agenda, seeking innovative solutions to differentiate, streamline, and de-risk the platform to directly contribute to client experience and Banker efficiency while managing/reducing regulatory risk. Using KPIs and data to monitor and measure platform effectiveness and change improvements. Managing, reporting, and representing platform performance at relevant governance fora. External (where required) and internal stakeholder management including regulators, senior leaders, client-facing colleagues, and infrastructure partners. Provision of guidance, coaching and support to improve colleagues' delivery quality. Vice President Expectations: Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment. Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda. Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does. Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organization functions to contribute to achieving the goals of the business. Collaborate with other areas of work for business-aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and strategies. Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought, comparing and selecting complex alternatives. In-depth analysis with interpretative thinking will be required to define problems and develop innovative solutions. Seek out, build, and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish key business objectives, using influencing and negotiating skills to achieve outcomes.
