Job Description

Head of Project Delivery, Governance & PMO-HybridZurich Insurance Europe is recruiting for a Head of Project Delivery, Governance and PMO. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of Zurich's Business Change Portfolio and maturity development with the goal to achieve project delivery excellence across the organization. They will act as a key enabler and foundation for effective group-wide project and portfolio management, ensuring delivery and governance standards are adhered to across all change delivery within the organization.Your RoleAs the Head of Project Delivery, Governance and PMO, you will ensure the best support for the organization by building capabilities in project management through methodology, communities of practice, training, coaching, and clear role definition. You will enable successful delivery of projects or programs by providing guidance, expertise, and best practices, and enforce group minimum standards (including large project reviews and GHO approvals).Responsibilities include:Project Delivery Project Business Case Development Project Scoping Project Planning Risk Assessment Change Management & Business Readiness Assessment Project Delivery Assurance (with a focus on Operating Model and Technology Delivery Assurance) Project Steering Meeting Key Contributor Chairs Monthly Executive Team Change Governance Forum Stakeholder Management (Executive Sponsors, Exec -1 and -2 reports, and assigned Product Owners, Head of IT and direct reports, Group Project Management Office and Group Technology and Operations relationships) Ensuring all project stakeholders understand their roles and responsibilities and can carry out their roles effectivelyResource allocation Portfolio Prioritisation and decision facilitationGovernance Confluence Project Delivery Checklist Governance Owner Risk Management Controls Framework Execution and Reporting Planview (Budget Spend Tracking) & Group PMO PoC Change Portfolio Budget Forecasting and Actuals Tracking and Reporting Invoicing, Purchase Orders Resource Forecasting, Allocation, and Conflict Resolution Change Portfolio Team Coordination Meetings and Issue ResolutionPerformance Management Accountabilities People Management Leads a team of 5-7 project managers across a Change Portfolio of approximately 7-10 projects plus small change initiatives, PMO, and Change Management function Matrix reporting of all project contributors Demonstrates commitment to corporate values Take accountability for participation in performance management cycles Take action to improve team performance on the job Assist and support co-workers modelling leadership in all facets of Change Delivery Take action to support own personal developmentYour Skills & ExperienceAs a Head of Project Delivery, Governance and PMO, your skills and qualifications will include: At least 7 years experience in Project Management & Planning Portfolio Management Reporting Risk Management Financial Reporting Technology Solution Development Operating Model Solution Development Concrete demonstration of leading large change programmes with technology and people/organisational change is essential Candidates demonstrating an open and collaborative style, with a desire for continuous improvement, and a proven track record of success are preferredAdditional InformationPrimary work location may be Dublin or Wexford based, but occasional travel may be required to other Zurich locations.If you value an exciting and varied working environment and meet the above requirements, then our recruiter Jemma Doran is looking forward to receiving your application by clicking on the button "Apply online".Who we areZurich is one of Ireland's leading insurance companies providing a wide range of general insurance and life insurance products and services.
