Head of Quality Supply Chain and Program Governance - Hybrid workingThis is a Senior Quality role and sits on the Senior Leadership Group. Reporting to the Director of Quality & Compliance, his leadership style is a blend of strategic leadership, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. Communication for collaboration ensures optimum performance & quality standards are integrated into all processes.Role ProfileThe Head of Quality Supply Chain and Program Governance is responsible for the leading and continuous improvement of:Tirlán’s Supply Chain Quality Management and Risk Program (Suppliers, Third Party Manufacturing Network and Warehousing providers).Maintaining our robust food & feed safety risk management program, microbiological and contaminant management program and lead a culture of Food & Feed Safety.Tirlan’s Product Regulatory Program to ensure compliance to product regulatory requirements, laws and regulations across Ireland, Europe & our International markets.Compliance by design, ensuring regulatory and food safety requirements of New Product Development are identified and implemented through our Innovation Process both within our manufacturing sites and Third Party Manufacturing.Responsible for designing and leading the adoption of Tirlán’s Quality Standards program for our Manufacturing facilities and Depot network and designing and executing of Tirlán's Quality Internal Audit governance program to verify regulatory and standards compliance.This role will drive cross functional alignment and collaboration internally and externally to successfully manage change and embed and sustain our Quality Program requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Head of Quality Supply Chain and Program Governance has leadership responsibility in areas such as:Embracing our Tirlan Values, our Coaching expectations, our investment in people development and training through our IDP process.Utilise external networks and our customers for the calibration/benchmarking of our programs, our oversight, our food and feed safety assurance, and tailoring our strategy to maintain industry leading status.Lead Tirlán’s Quality Supply Chain Risk Management Program for our Supplier and Third Party Warehouse network as well as managing qualification, risk, and continuous performance of those.Promote the Q&C function risk assessment, determination, and risk register process and manage the tracking of Tier-One risks for the Q&C function.Lead Tirlán’s Quality Standards program for our manufacturing facilities and Depot network in order to raise and align Quality Standards across Tirlán and reduce food and feed risk.Track regulations and drive insights, expertise to ensure compliance preparedness.Maintain external networks and associations, ensuring early warning of emerging issues, and participate in white paper and consultation processes across both new and developing legislation which impacts Tirlan food safety and product regulatory compliance.Lead the contaminants program and sign off on the regulatory, food & feed safety, and microbiological quality elements of the Milk & Grain Purchasing Policies.Ensure Regulatory Right First Time (RRFT) for labelling and finished product compliance and oversee collaboration with marketing and commercial on product new market entry.Ensure the compliance criteria necessary for innovation projects is understood and adopted within the NPD process and champion a culture of Innovation compliance by design.Designing and execute Tirlán's Quality Internal Audit governance program and engage with our Heads of Quality and Quality Systems Managers to continuously improve and build the Tirlan Quality Standards program.Key RequirementsScience/Nutrition/Food Safety/Regulatory Affairs based qualification, to post-graduate level (B.Sc. as minimum), preferably post grad qualification.A high-calibre industry expertise with strong risk awareness and commercial savvy, minimum 7+ years relevant work experience in similar or related role.A track record of working in the Irish/European dairy industry/Ingredient and Packaging industry.Proven experience in food & feed safety risk assessment.Experience in design and deployment of Organisational Quality Standards including Certification Standards such as GFSI, 22000, UFAS etc.Experienced, Internal, Supplier and Third Party Manufacturing Auditor.Experienced in product noncompliance management, complaint management and resolution, problem solving techniques (RCA’s), recall management.A proven ability of successfully developing and cultivating relationships and effectively communicating and constructively working across functions.Experience in defining the food safety and regulatory requirements early in NPD projects and oversight/signoff those are delivered as a condition to launch.A track record in design and deployment of new Quality Management programs and standards for large complex organisation.Highly collaborative with instinct for prioritisation and delivering targets in
