Digital Product Owner

Background:

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team responsible for the delivery of VWFS strategic and commercial objectives.

Reporting directly to the Product & Innovation Manager the Digital Product Owner will have responsibility for the ownership of the current end to end digital journeys and the creation of new digital journeys for VWFS to improve our dealers and end customer experience.

The Digital Product Owner will play a key role in gathering and documenting technical and business requirements ensuring robust and efficient processes through effective stakeholder management, ensuring successful integration internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Digital Transformation projects from ideation through to implementation
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining the roadmap for new features and optimisation to drive online sales
  • Conduct key in depth business analysis to identify digital opportunities including business cases and present for Senior Management approval
  • Collaborate between departments and its internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all Digital journeys and Services are seamlessly implemented
  • Ensure that new digital initiatives are delivered with the best possible customer experience
  • Provide status updates, to ensure deadlines are being met, highlighting risks and issues as they arise
  • Display continuous learning and curiosity for new digital innovations and their application to our digital strategy
  • Demonstrate VWFS values and behaviours in your day-to-day work and address behaviour that supports/conflicts with them
Key Requirments:
  • Degree in Business/Strategy/Finance (or related discipline) is required
  • Minimum 3+ years' relevant work experience in digital development/product owner role with a knowledge of current and future trends
  • You are customer focused and passionate about delivering the best possible customer experience
  • You have a proven track record of delivering high profile complex projects that involve multiple stakeholders
  • Ideally possess knowledge of the financial services industry and may have acted in a digital role in this sector previously, potentially as a product owner
  • Ability to present and communicate effectively at all levels. Strong interpersonal and relationship skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders and build strong working relationships
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, the ability to work on own initiative and handle multiple competing priorities and re-prioritise as required in an agile environment
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office (particularly Microsoft PowerPoint, Word & Excel)
Terms & Conditions

This is a permanent full-time position. The successful candidate will be expected to work a minimum of 2 days a week on site at the Liffey Valley Office. Compliance with all relevant internal policies and procedures and adherence to the Volkswagen Financial Services Code of Conduct is mandatory.

A competitive remuneration package commensurate with experience and qualification level will be offered to the successful candidate.

The Direct Fleet Account Manager plays a vital role in achieving our commercial objectives, focusing on the retention, growth, and profitability of our fleet business.

This role demands a candidate is highly motivated, dedicated to customer retention and expansion, and possesses the ability to build and nurture valuable relationships with key stakeholders within each assigned account.

The successful applicant will need to develop an in-depth understanding of our customers'

businesses, industries, and challenges, with a primary goal of becoming their trusted fleet advisor.

This position is well-suited to individuals who are self-driven to meet challenging yet rewarding monthly business targets. We seek someone with exceptional relationship-building and consultative sales skills, aiming for successful results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing fleet customers through outstanding customer service, addressing their needs, and ensuring ongoing satisfaction
  • Maximize customer retention through continuous advice and effective contract renewal negotiations.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales & renewal targets, along with other performance metrics
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of our products and services to effectively communicate their benefits to our customers
  • Conduct meetings as necessary with your customers compiling reports as needed and ensuring the satisfaction of existing customers
  • Negotiate and finalize deals with customers, ensuring mutually beneficial terms that align with company policies
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, client interactions, and contracts.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitors to inform your sales strategy
Key Role Requirments:
  • A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in vehicle leasing and/or account management
  • APA Loans or QFA qualification a distinct advantage, however not a requirement, but at minimum the successful candidate must be prepared to undertake and pass the APA exams upon appointment.
  • Strong knowledge of the Irish fleet market, including key companies, trends, and regulations.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on achieving and surpassing targets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Possession of a full, clean driving license.

Objective:

The Head of Sales is supported to deliver the Volkswagen Financial Services (VWFS) strategy through ensuring its commercial success. This will be achieved by collaborating with all customer channels and steering the Sales & Direct Fleet functions to reach strategic sales objectives by successfully managing the relationship between Volkswagen Group Ireland (VWGI) Dealer Network and VWFS. In addition, representing the sales function interests at Brand, HQ and in local Projects. The ultimate goal is to generate loyalty and a profitable relationship between the client, the dealer, the brands of the VWGI and VWFS.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Drives Sales Strategy across VWFS - identifying new opportunities within sales; develops and implements dealer incentivisation schemes
  • Steers the sales function -
  • Develop sales performance and manages campaign success.
  • Designs and re-designs geographic areas as well as frequency of visits based on dealer volume, distance and (multi) brand approach.
