Our client in the fresh food wholesale industry is looking for an experienced Head of Sales to lead their sales team and drive sales strategy and growth.
Job Title: Head of Sales
Location: Dublin City (North)
Salary: Negotiable DOE
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
- Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Provide coaching, training, and support to enhance the team's performance.
- Assist with regular performance reviews and set challenging yet achievable goals.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports for management.
- Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Control and monitor expenses to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
- Collaborate with production, marketing and finance departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Address customer concerns as a point of escalation and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with the office manager/customer service/administration team to resolve issues promptly.
Role Requirements:
- Proven experience in fresh food/wholesale, sales management, with a successful track record of achieving sales targets.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, preferably experience in empowering a manger to effectively lead a sales team.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
- Familiarity with fresh food and wholesale industry regulations and compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
