Position Overview

As the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing EdgeTier's sales strategy, building and leading a high-performing sales team, and driving our revenue growth. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), you will work closely with other C-suite stakeholders to align sales initiatives with company objectives, identify new market opportunities, and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales leadership within the SaaS industry.

What you'll be doing:

Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve company revenue goals and market expansion.

Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of success and continuous improvement.

Identify and target new market opportunities, including potential verticals and customer segments.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.

Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective sales collateral, campaigns, and lead-generation strategies.

Monitor and analyse sales metrics to measure performance, identify areas for improvement, and ensure targets are met.

Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to the CCO and other C-suite executives.

Develop and manage the sales budget, optimising resources and implementing cost-control measures for maximum ROI.

Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform sales strategies.

Represent EdgeTier at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

What you'll bring:

Experience leading a sales function through the Series A to Series B+ funding stages (required).

7-10 years of sales experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role within the SaaS industry.

Strong leadership and team-building skills, with experience in hiring, developing, and retaining top sales talent.

Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving significant revenue growth.

Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools (we use Hubspot as our CRM).

You are a strategic thinker with the ability to translate market insights into actionable sales strategies.

You have excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup/scaleup environment, and are excited about going on this journey again.
