Job Description
Health & Safety Adviser position available with a global leader in transport infrastructure. The successful candidate will maintain high safety standards, develop health and safety programs, and conduct site audits.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety programs to ensure compliance with government regulations and company standards.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and behavioral safety through regular training sessions.
- Conducting site audits, safety inspections, and risk assessments.
- Leading accident investigations and reporting to relevant authorities.
- Managing and supporting the implementation of Safe T Cert and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Liaising with subcontractors and project teams to ensure adherence to safety documentation and procedures.
- Preparing and delivering regular health and safety reports.
- Managing the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Program.
Qualifications and experience required:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Safety & Health, Construction, or Engineering.
- 3+ years' experience in health and safety within the manufacturing, quarrying, construction, or road maintenance industries.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 45001, Safe T Cert, and relevant Irish safety regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Proven experience in auditing, risk assessments, and safety performance monitoring.
