Health and Safety Advisor
As a dedicated professional, you will promote a positive culture of health, safety, and quality management across all service lines while ensuring compliance with Sodexo's policies and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and promote a positive safety culture through various activities.
- Review and implement policies and procedures for Health, Safety & Quality for contracts.
- Provide competent and best practice advice on Health, Safety & Quality issues.
- Promote and develop a safety & quality culture to secure effective implementation of policy, procedures, and responsibilities.
- Assist with the development of relevant training plans to ensure employees are competent from a Health, Safety & Quality perspective.
- Monitor the production and review of risk assessments and associated safe work practices.
- Undertake regular Health & Safety walks, inspections, and audits of units and report findings.
- Ensure timely reporting and investigation of accidents and near misses to legislative standards.
- Maintain appropriate relationships with the HSEQ team and Head of Quality, Health & Safety, and statutory authorities.
Requirements:
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in occupational health and safety.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Broad commercial experience and business acumen.
- Experience in risk management and business continuity planning.
- Experience in quality and lab management.
- Articulate and able to confidently present to all levels of management and colleagues.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work outside of normal hours if an emergency situation arises.
