Health and Safety Advisor

As a dedicated professional, you will promote a positive culture of health, safety, and quality management across all service lines while ensuring compliance with Sodexo's policies and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive and promote a positive safety culture through various activities.
  • Review and implement policies and procedures for Health, Safety & Quality for contracts.
  • Provide competent and best practice advice on Health, Safety & Quality issues.
  • Promote and develop a safety & quality culture to secure effective implementation of policy, procedures, and responsibilities.
  • Assist with the development of relevant training plans to ensure employees are competent from a Health, Safety & Quality perspective.
  • Monitor the production and review of risk assessments and associated safe work practices.
  • Undertake regular Health & Safety walks, inspections, and audits of units and report findings.
  • Ensure timely reporting and investigation of accidents and near misses to legislative standards.
  • Maintain appropriate relationships with the HSEQ team and Head of Quality, Health & Safety, and statutory authorities.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in occupational health and safety.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Broad commercial experience and business acumen.
  • Experience in risk management and business continuity planning.
  • Experience in quality and lab management.
  • Articulate and able to confidently present to all levels of management and colleagues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work outside of normal hours if an emergency situation arises.
