Health & Safety Advisor - Dublin Job role: health and safety advisor - Dublin We are advertising a job role of health and safety advisor for our client who is at the forefront of innovation in the construction industry. The Company has a long history of delivering large-scale construction projects to a diverse range of repeat business clients. They put the health & Safety of both their staff and sub-contractors as their number one priority. This award-winning organisation is looking for a H&S Advisor to join their team to aid them in their goal of keeping the work environment safe and in line with rules and regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities: Manage emergency procedures, respond to health and safety-related complaints or issues; Keep a focus on health and safety within the business Keeping up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employers industry Leading in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks Assisting in pre-qualification questionnaires and gaining accreditations such as CHAS, Safe contractor, Constructionline, SMAS, etc. Carrying out risk assessments of Premises, Equipment, COSHH, Fire, Display Screen Equipment, Manual Handling, Legionella, etc., and considering how risks could be reduced Outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards and communicating to all employees Keeping records of inspections findings and producing reports that suggest improvements Keeping records of incidents and accidents and producing statistics for managers Delivering Toolbox Talks and liaising with HSE, Fire Officers, Environmental Health Officers Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and adhered to Making changes to working practices making them safer and ensuring they comply with current legislation This is an excellent opportunity for somebody that wants to further their career in health and safety with great career progression opportunities.
