Our client, a global construction and maintenance company is seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to join their team in Kilcogan, Co. Galway on a permanent contract. Responsibilities: As a H&S Advisor, you will (full job description available on request): Develop, implement, and monitor the safety program to ensure compliance with all applicable government regulations and comply with technical standards. Review & update, Health & Safety documents, including Health & Safety Procedures, SafetyStatement, Risk Assessment etc. Liaise with contracting team to promote change management, legal compliance, behavioralbased safety, and a continual improvement approach. Undertake scheduled Site Audit Inspections and communicate the results of site inspections to site managers and to the Health and Safety Manager and to identify risks and opportunities for improvement. Deliver and complete any statutory notifications to the H.S.A in line with the Construction Regulations and associated Project safety construction plans, Risk assessment and method statements. Support the accident and incident reporting structure in accordance with Company Policy andto take an active part in accident investigation, root cause analysis and the corrective andpreventive action management. Deliver Health and Safety related training/induction to staff, contractors and subcontractors. Plan Health and Safety frequent inspections & audits, ensuring coverage of allactivities and in line with company protocols. Requirements: Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Safety and Health, Construction orEngineering. 3-5 years experience of Health and Safety in, quarrying, road maintenance, construction,or related industries. Working knowledge of SHWWA 2005 and associated Legislation. Experienced in Auditing (and/or Safe T Cert).
