Job Description

The Safety Solutions Group comprises various departments, one of which is the Consultancy Department, specialising in providing advice, documentation, and support to our many clients.

We are recruiting a Health and Safety Advisor to work within our Consultancy Department and to grow and develop their core skills and competencies from team members and colleagues.

Core Competencies

  • Be able to work as part of a team, this includes your immediate team but also the wider team within the Safety Solutions Group. Be open to supporting and helping your team members and in turn receiving support from the team.
  • Provide meaningful support to our customers, this means giving of your full experience and competence to our customers through quality engagement and service.
  • Attention to detail, it is important that you are focused on your daily tasks and the specific details within each task.
  • Be able to manage your own day-to-day activities; whilst your colleagues will support you, you will be expected to work on your own initiative and manage your own workflows.
  • Be open to further learning and professional development within the Consultancy Department and Safety Solutions Group as a whole and as a result of this be able to expand your knowledge and contribution to the Organisation.

Essential Competencies

  • Be able to both compile and review statutory Construction Health and Safety documentation such as Safety Statements, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Construction Stage H&S Plans.
  • Completing site safety audits and subsequent reports.
  • Review and ensure compliance with the fulfilment of Contractor duties in accordance with the Construction Regulations 2013.
  • Experience in the coordination of PSCS.
  • Completing non-construction safety audits and subsequent reports, i.e. educational, property, manufacturing.
  • Provide advice and direction to clients, employees, and contractors.
  • Have a good working knowledge of M/S packages such as Word - It is important that you are able to prepare documentation to a high standard.
  • Have the ability to work unsupervised. Proactive, self-starter who can manage own workload and prioritize tasks.
  • Able to work to deadlines.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Relevant third level Construction / Health & Safety qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification Construction experience in a similar position.
  • You must be eligible to work in Ireland.
  • Full driving license.
