Job Description
Health and Safety Lead sought for Cork-based manufacturing client to develop and implement health and safety programmes, working closely with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role in an FMCG/manufacturing environment is required, along with a third-level qualification in a relevant discipline and excellent working knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and risk management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Primary focal point for health and safety matters and main point of contact for regulatory authorities
- Strong on-the-ground presence, supporting and engaging site management and operations teams on all health and safety matters
- Collaborating with operations teams to address priorities, improve compliance, and implement best practice
- Completing health and safety risk assessments, implementing controls, and maintaining safety statements and risk registers
- Ensuring all health and safety accidents, incidents, and near misses are promptly reported and thoroughly investigated
- Identifying appropriate corrective and preventative measures and closing out using CI tools
