Job Description
A Health and Safety Lead is required for a Cork-based manufacturing client to oversee health and safety matters and collaborate with site management and operations teams.
This role involves developing and implementing health and safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and collaborating with the operations team to address priorities and improve best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary focal point for Health & Safety Matters and main point of contact for regulatory authorities.
- Strong on the ground presence, within site operations, supporting and engaging site management and operations teams on all health and safety matters.
- Work collaboratively with the operations team to address priorities, improve compliance and implement best practice.
- Work with the operations team to identify Capex requirements and ensure all change is carefully risk assessed and appropriately managed.
- Completion of all Health & Safety risk assessments, implement controls, and maintain safety statement and risk registers.
- Ensure all Health & Safety accidents, incidents and near misses are promptly reported and thoroughly investigated.
- Identify appropriate corrective and preventative measures and closeout using CI tools.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role in an FMCG/ manufacturing environment.
- A third level qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Excellent working knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation and Risk Management.
