A Health and Safety Lead is needed by CareerWise Recruitment for our Cork based manufacturing client. This is a great opportunity to grow and develop programmes on a large site working closely with the engineering, quality and manufacturing teams as part of the senior team. THE ROLE: Primary focal point for Health & Safety Matters and main point of contact for regulatory authorities. Strong on the ground presence, within site operations, supporting and engaging site management and operations teams on all health and safety matters. Work collaboratively with the operations team to address priorities, improve compliance and implement best practice. Work with the operations team to identify Capex requirements and ensure all change is carefully risk assessed and appropriately managed. Completion of all Health & Safety risk assessments, implement controls, and maintain safety statement and risk registers. Ensure all Health & Safety accidents, incidents and near misses are promptly reported and thoroughly investigated. Identify appropriate corrective and preventative measures and closeout using CI tools. REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role in an FMCG/ manufacturing environment. A third level qualification in a relevant discipline. Excellent working knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation and Risk Management.
